SMGs are said to be the easiest weapons to use in the game. They provide flexibility in either continous fire or burst fire. Since most of the enemies you will fight will not boost effectively, SMGs are the most effective to use in regular matches.
I will not include ways to use echoblaster, as I can't use it.

Tips:
Never hold the fire button down unless the other person is in melee delay or does not boost around you.
This allows you to aim at your target, fire at them and re-aim again. Thus allowing you to kill bunnyhoppers.
For Beamspitter-X
Hold down the button and let bullets run wild. Just put your reticle the size of the Sun on your target and hold down the fire button. Strafe, bunnyhop or whatever- beamspitters will get the job done quick without much or any effort at all. Especially the Beamspitter-B [Low overheat, high RoF and good damage].
